The Sivalai Place is a very pleasant "Place" to stay in Bangkok. Especially if you like to be out of the main center and spend your time in a nice, calm neighbourhood. The studio I stayed in is spacious. There's a good bed, a dining table that can be used as a desk, a small kitchen, a fridge, a microwave and a watercooker. The pool is fantastic. You can have a good workout there. The pool is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. I wouldn't have minded if it would be open at 7am as is mentioned in the A4-info leaflet in the room. On the roof there is a covered terrace with loungers where one can enjoy the view of the city, have a drink and read a book. The Sivalai Place has bikes and it's recommendable to take one to explore the area. For example go to the Thonburi market and from there to Wat Rakhang Khositaram Woramahawihan, next to the river and much quieter than Wat Arun. The friendly owner is easy to communicate with and she was helpful all around. There is a local restaurant with simple but high quality food a couple of minutes away. The restaurant has an English language menu and for some reason the dishes lack prices. The total cost is very reasonable though. A couple of steps further down the road there's a 7-11 which has all you need, including packages with 2 slices of cheese. From there it takes about 12 minutes to get to the nearest train station, Charan 13, on the MRT Blue Line. If you walk in the other direction for about 10 minutes you get on a main street. Here you find lots of restaurants. If you turn left and continue for about 20 minutes you arrive at the Thonburi train station and the next door big market.

We loved the quiet area of Bangkok, yet very close to the Metro trains. Cheaper and great food. Highly recommend the small, family owned restaurant right next to the hotel and 7-11. We ate there all the time. The family at the hotel were very kind, helpful and gracious. We extended our stay and were given a great discount! Pots and pans are available upon request (I saw some reviews mentioning otherwise). The pool was amazing, fully shaded, due to the height of the hotel. The roof terrace provides great views, the tennis courts were well-maintained. The washing machines are super cheap and wash well, all extra detergents and coins are available at the front desk. They even have lots of snacks at regular store prices. Oli, the daughter of the owner gave us a free ride to the metro, on the day of our departure, which was so kind. Overall very comfortable, spacious rooms, great housekeeping and plenty of room to work. We will definitely return, if visiting Bangkok in the future.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Stayed here with my family for four days this December 2023. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and look exactly as shown in the photos, with upgraded facilities like the airconditioner. The owner and the staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. If you want a quiet place to stay that's perfect for a group and where you can properly rest after a long day of roaming around, this place is perfect. It is located inside a residential area but it's very accessible via Grab. The office isn't open for 24 hours so you have to settle some transactions between 9 AM to 9 PM. But the hotel is open 24 hours and there is a guard is on duty at all times to accommodate your needs. Bonus: There's a cat lounging in the parking lot. So cute.

First of all, the staff is very nice and will help you in every way they can! The place is like a sport hotel appartment. The swiming pool is great! The fitness room also and you can play tennis there too. There also have a roof view and washing machines. We had 2 bedrooms and it was very big, and clean but no balcony and that was missing. In the kitchen there are a big fridge, a stove and a kettle. You get a sponge and detergent. If you stay there you can order from them before you arrive water and a cafe set since it is very cheap there. Quiet place, there is a 7/11 close by and maybe few place to eat but we never check... There is a metro 15 minutes away but we just order taxi with "grab" to get to places.

We liked this hotel very much, it is in a quiet neighbourhood of Bangkok but still very close to all the sights. The swimming pool is huge, refreshing (clean!) and its great to see the children get their swimming lessons in the afternoon, very sweet! Grab a Grab taxi and it will almost always cost you less than 200 bath to get to all main attractions. Also, if you like a nice walk, you can make one to What Arun in 15 minutes, then take the ferry to the grand Palace. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff: it is a family run business and if you stop by the offices behind the reception they will help you out with everything you need to know!
